Four guests were hospitalized Sunday after a tree fell near the entrance of Six Flags Over Georgia during severe weather. The incident occurred as strong storms moved through the Austell, Georgia, area, according to park officials.

Six Flags Over Georgia stated that its medical staff and local emergency medical services responded to the four guests who were struck by the fallen tree. The guests were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The identities of the guests and their conditions have not been released.

The National Weather Service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the region on Sunday evening as storms passed through the metro Atlanta area.

Social media posts appeared to show emergency vehicles at the park's entrance and downed trees and branches. One user claimed on Reddit that a large tree had fallen across part of the park and landed on the track of the Mindbender roller coaster, though Six Flags has not confirmed any damage to attractions or disruptions to park operations.

This incident follows a separate weather-related event in Florida where strong winds caused a metal cabana frame to crash into a crowded pool area at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, resulting in five guests being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
