A Frontier Airlines flight experienced a medical emergency Thursday morning after four of the five flight attendants on board fell ill mid-flight. Flight F9-1046, which departed from Cleveland, was en route to Fort Lauderdale when the pilots communicated with air traffic control about the developing situation.

The pilot requested emergency medical responders to meet the plane upon its arrival. "If you could call the tower and have them meet at our gate for a developing medical," the pilot stated to Miami air traffic controllers, who also manage Fort Lauderdale's approach communications. He further reported, "All my flight attendants have headaches. Now, four are nauseous."

Despite the mid-air medical emergency, the aircraft landed safely in Fort Lauderdale. The scheduled return flight to Cleveland and another round trip service for that afternoon were subsequently canceled.
