A Frontier Airlines flight experienced a mid-flight medical emergency Thursday when four of the five flight attendants on board became ill. The pilots of Flight F9-1046, en route from Cleveland to Fort Lauderdale, contacted air traffic control to request emergency medical responders meet the aircraft upon arrival.

The pilot informed Miami air traffic controllers, who handle communications for Fort Lauderdale, that the cabin crew was experiencing a developing medical situation. "All my flight attendants have headaches," the pilot stated. "Now, four are nauseous."

The plane, an Airbus A320, landed safely in Fort Lauderdale despite the circumstances. The flight was scheduled to return to Cleveland later that morning, but the service was canceled, as was another planned round trip for that afternoon.
