Four individuals have been arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal incident in Stoke-on-Trent, England, that left one man dead and another critically injured. Staffordshire Police responded to reports of violence on Brookhouse Road in Meir late Friday night.

A man in his late teens was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man, also in his late teens, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital, where he is currently in critical but stable condition.

Det Insp Katie Gregory stated that two 18-year-old men, a 20-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy, all residents of Stoke-on-Trent, were taken into custody. The 17-year-old faces additional charges of attempted murder. All four remain in police custody.

"This is a devastating time for all those affected by what has happened overnight," Gregory said. "I'd like to reassure the community that there is no wider risk to them, and we are doing all we can to understand the circumstances that led to this tragic incident."

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information regarding the attack and have urged anyone with relevant details to contact the police.
