Four Arrested in Shooting of 49ers Star Keion White
San Francisco Police announce arrests in connection with February incident at Super Bowl party.
Four men have been arrested over the past week in connection with the February shooting of 49ers star Keion White, San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew announced Wednesday.
White was hosting a Super Bowl party at a Mission District nightclub when he was confronted by four men and shot in the ankle shortly after 4 a.m. on February 9. He was taken to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery and has since returned to play for the 49ers, who currently have a 5-0 record.
Lew revealed Wednesday that police have arrested four men in connection with the shooting. The man believed to have fired the shot, 36-year-old Gregory Walker of Mountain House, California, was taken into custody on October 9. This followed the arrest of 35-year-old Curtis Greene of Irvine on October 7. Greene faces misdemeanor charges for brandishing a firearm and carrying a concealed and loaded gun in public. Both Walker and Greene were booked into San Francisco County Jail and were scheduled for their first court appearances on Wednesday.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins intends to request that Walker be denied bail. He faces a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, among other related firearm charges.
Two additional men have been arrested in connection with the crime, but they are not yet in local custody. Charges will be filed upon their arrival. One of these suspects, a 38-year-old man arrested in Atlanta on October 7, was apprehended on a no-bail warrant. Police reported seizing an illegal firearm, MDMA, methamphetamine, cocaine, and fentanyl during his arrest. The other unidentified suspect was taken into custody in Stockton, where authorities recovered a loaded firearm, $7,000 in cash, and oxycodone pills.
Attorneys for the arrested individuals have not yet been identified in online court records. Investigators stated that the suspects were identified through the use of video footage and witness accounts. Lew acknowledged the assistance of police departments in Los Angeles, Stockton, Irvine, and Atlanta in apprehending the suspects.
White, 27, is in his third season with the 49ers. The defensive lineman has recorded three sacks and nine tackles in five games this season. Originally a second-round pick by the New England Patriots, White was acquired by San Francisco in a 2025 trade and is expected to become a free agent after the 2026 season.
