Former Officer's Murder Trial Begins for Deaths of TV Host and Partner
Beau Lamarre-Condon faces jury trial for the alleged murders of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies in Sydney.
The trial of Beau Lamarre-Condon, a former police officer, has commenced in Sydney, where he faces charges in connection with the alleged murders of Jesse Baird, a television presenter, and his partner, Luke Davies. Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty to two counts of domestic violence-related murder for the incident alleged to have occurred in Paddington in February 2024.
He has also entered a plea of not guilty to one count of aggravated break and enter related to an alleged incident in August 2023. Prosecutors are expected to argue that Lamarre-Condon used his service firearm to kill Baird and Davies. Their bodies were discovered the following week in surf bags in Bungonia, a rural area southwest of Sydney.
The New South Wales Supreme Court is set to hear from numerous witnesses over the course of approximately three months.
Lamarre-Condon was charged days after police initiated a public appeal for information concerning the disappearance of the couple, who were last seen at an event prior to Sydney's Mardi Gras.
