Former NFL wide receiver Stedman Bailey, 35, and a woman, Karina Manderson, 35, were arrested and charged with indecent exposure following an incident at a mall arcade in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Police responded to reports of a couple having sex at the bar area of Round1, an entertainment venue located inside the Pembroke Lakes Mall, on Monday, July 27, at approximately 12:30 a.m.
According to the Pembroke Pines Police Department, surveillance footage reviewed by officers appeared to show Bailey standing behind Manderson, who was leaned over. A witness reportedly told officers they observed the two engaging in intercourse. After being told to stop, Bailey allegedly pulled up his pants, and the two then left the bar area. Both admitted to consuming multiple alcoholic shots at the bar.
Bailey reportedly admitted to investigators that "they both had their pants down," but stated that "penetration never took place." Manderson was also arrested on the same charge.
Bailey played in two full seasons for the St. Louis Rams. His NFL career was cut short in 2015 when he sustained life-threatening gunshot wounds to the head while sitting in a parked car in Miami Gardens, Florida. He survived the incident and recovered from his injuries.
