Former NFL practice squad player Damoun Patterson has been arrested in Florida and faces multiple felony charges, including armed burglary of a dwelling and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The Daytona Beach Police Department also charged the 31-year-old with grand theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief, according to CBS 12.

Patterson, who reportedly had stints with the New England Patriots, Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, remained in custody as of Monday afternoon, records show. He did not appear in an NFL game but participated in preseason contests.

Police were seen pulling over a white Kia in video released by CBS 12. An officer is heard telling Patterson, who was driving, to exit the vehicle slowly. During the arrest, an officer pointed out an alleged knife inside Patterson's car. Police informed Patterson that the vehicle was stolen and that he would be facing charges, potentially including those from Orlando police, as he is from that area.

A charging affidavit indicated that a be-on-the-lookout notice had been issued for Patterson and a stolen vehicle connected to a home invasion in Orlando, according to the Daytona Beach News-Journal. Patterson played college football at Utah State before transferring to Highland and finishing his college career at Youngstown State.
