Former NASA Astronaut Claims UFOs Are Demonic Deceptions

Charles Duke, the youngest person to have walked on the moon, has stated his belief that UFOs are not extraterrestrial visitors but rather demonic entities disguised as angels of light. Duke, who was part of the Apollo 16 mission in 1972, shared his views during a recent appearance on the Christian Broadcasting Network.

He cited the Bible, specifically 2 Corinthians 11:14, which states, "And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light." Duke interprets this passage to mean that what are perceived as UFOs or unexplained anomalous phenomena (UAPs) are manifestations of the devil attempting to deceive humanity and turn people away from religious truth.

Duke recounted a personal experience from years ago when he was praying about UFOs and felt they were demonic. He mentioned that when he expressed these views publicly, such as at Rotary clubs, he was often met with skepticism and laughter. He described seeking a sign from God, which he believes he received when a businessman friend, who had never discussed such topics, approached him the following morning to talk about UFOs, confirming Duke's suspicions.

This perspective echoes sentiments expressed by other public figures. U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has previously shared religiously-themed messages on social media regarding UFOs. Additionally, Vice President JD Vance has theorized that UAPs could be demonic in origin, stating in March that he did not believe they were aliens but rather "demons flying around earth."

Duke, who also served as the CAPCOM for the Apollo 11 moon landing, stated that he never encountered any unusual phenomena during his own space missions. He maintained his conviction, saying, "You can laugh at me if you want to, but that’s … what God showed me, and I’m sticking to it."
