Former Fox Business Producer Jennifer Eckhart Found Dead in Florida
Authorities are investigating the death of Jennifer Eckhart, who previously accused journalist Ed Henry of sexual assault.
Jennifer Eckhart, a former associate producer for Fox Business and podcast host, was found dead on Friday at her home in Martin County, Florida, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. A spokesperson for the office stated that Eckhart appeared to have died by suicide.
Eckhart hosted a podcast titled “REINVENTED,” which featured interviews with prominent individuals from the business, sports, and entertainment industries who had overcome significant challenges. The most recent episode, released in March, included an interview with former Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg.
Prior to her podcasting career, Eckhart worked as an associate producer at Fox Business. In 2020, she publicly accused journalist Ed Henry of sexual assault. Henry was terminated by Fox News that same year following an investigation into allegations of sexual misconduct.
In July of the previous year, Eckhart was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, on suspicion of battery. According to an arrest affidavit cited by the Daily Mail, the charges stemmed from an alleged altercation with her boyfriend, Thomas Beasley, when he attempted to end their relationship. The affidavit indicated that video evidence captured Eckhart yelling at Beasley, striking him, and demanding he delete the recording of the incident. Eckhart was released on her own recognizance.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details regarding the circumstances of Eckhart’s death.
