His current incarceration is on remand, stemming from charges of grievous bodily harm (GBH) related to an alleged assault at Huyton and Prescot Golf Club on March 8, 2026. The alleged victim, 51-year-old Kevin Lynch, reportedly suffered serious eye injuries.
If found responsible for the contraband, Barton could face additional jail time, potentially up to six months, or lose privileges such as access to the gym, television, and yard time. His trial for the alleged assault is scheduled for March 8, 2027.
