Anna Slotky, a former child actress recognized for her roles in the "Home Alone" films and the sitcom "The Torkelsons," is now a practicing attorney and a candidate for judge of the Superior Court of Los Angeles County. Slotky, 45, was recently photographed running errands in Los Angeles, marking a rare public appearance for the former star.

Slotky gained recognition for her role as Brooke, Kevin McCallister's sister, in the 1990 film "Home Alone" and its 1992 sequel. She also starred as Ruth Ann in the television sitcom "The Torkelsons" from 1991 to 1992. Her acting career also included appearances on "Sister, Sister," "3rd Rock from the Sun," "Doctor Doctor," and "Step by Step" before she stepped away from acting in 2000.

After concluding her acting career, Slotky pursued a legal education and was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009. She is currently working as a public defender for Los Angeles County. Her campaign for a judgeship places her as a leading candidate for the position.

Slotky married animator James Reitano on April 30, 2011.
