Brianna Westbrook, identified as a transgender rights activist and former vice chair of the Arizona Democratic Party, was arrested on July 10 and faces charges including felony third-degree burglary, aggravated assault using a simulated deadly weapon, and misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Police responded to a call from a woman who reported her ex-partner, Westbrook, had entered her home uninvited while armed with a knife and black tape.

According to court documents, the victim stated she opened her door believing it was her son, but found Westbrook holding the weapons. A struggle ensued, during which Westbrook allegedly pushed the victim onto a couch and told her to remain still. The victim began screaming, which alerted her sister, who entered the room. Westbrook then allegedly made a lunging motion toward both women with the knife.

Westbrook fled the residence after the victim pleaded with her to stop, mentioning her son's imminent arrival.

Officers located Westbrook at her residence, where she characterized the incident as a "big misunderstanding." Westbrook claimed the confrontation was a pre-arranged BDSM scene, alleging that she and the victim had agreed to "re-enact a scene where Westbrook scares the victim to help her deal with prior childhood trauma of abuse" through "subliminal messages" exchanged on Instagram. Westbrook admitted to going to the residence armed with a knife and duct tape and instructing the victim to sit on the couch.

However, the victim denied ever agreeing to re-create any BDSM scene with Westbrook. Police documents noted that Westbrook has a history of domestic violence, with the "frequency/intensity" of such incidents reportedly increasing.

A preliminary hearing for Westbrook is scheduled for Monday. Fox News Digital reached out to Westbrook for comment.
