Football Club Apologizes After Adult Show Exceeds Venue's Acceptable Limits

Banbury United FC has issued an apology after an adult performance at its Spencer Clubhouse venue reportedly exceeded acceptable boundaries. Videos circulating on social media depicted the UK Pleasure Boys' "Wet & Wild" tour, which took place on Saturday, October 17.

The club, known as the Puritans, stated that part of the performance "went beyond what we find acceptable at our venue." The event was an 18+ ticketed show organized by an external promoter as part of a UK-wide tour.

Footage from the event shows male dancers performing on stage and interacting with the audience. The nature of the performance led to strong reactions from attendees and local residents. Some attendees expressed surprise and disappointment that the show appeared to devolve into acts they considered more explicit than anticipated, while others defended the event, stating that the nature of a stripper show was understood and that those uncomfortable could have left.

In response to the viral clips, Banbury United FC released a statement on Tuesday afternoon. "We are aware of video clips circulating online from the UK Pleasure Boys' 'Wet & Wild' show held at The Spencer Clubhouse on Saturday, October 17," the statement read. "This was a ticket, 18+ event. The images suggest that part of the performance towards the end went beyond what we find acceptable at our venue. We apologise to anyone in attendance who was offended."

The club also announced that it is reviewing the incident and will revise its hire and conduct terms for future performance events. The Spencer Clubhouse is typically used for events such as weddings, birthday parties, and corporate functions.
