A Florida woman in a retirement community has requested a new license plate from the Department of Motor Vehicles after receiving one that she considers too inappropriate for her neighborhood.
Nancy Dello Stritto, a resident of Pompano Beach, was surprised when she obtained a new license plate that reads “SQZ A55.” She expressed her discomfort with the message, stating, “I looked at it, and I said, ‘I don’t think so.'”
According to a local news report, the license plate has caused a stir among some of the male residents in her retirement community. Stritto reportedly showed the plate to an 89-year-old neighbor who responded with "Good."
An office manager confirmed that Broward County will replace any license plate deemed offensive free of charge.
