Nancy Dello Stritto, a 76-year-old resident of Pompano Beach, Florida, has received a new license plate from the Department of Motor Vehicles that reads 'SQZ A55.' Stritto stated that the plate was randomly assigned to her during her vehicle registration renewal and expressed her dissatisfaction with the perceived message.
"I don’t think a woman that lives in a senior community that’s going to be 77 years old next month will be driving around with what this plate has to say," Stritto told FOX 8 Live. She contacted local news outlets to report the incident.
Despite her reservations, some of her neighbors and her sons have encouraged her to keep the plate. An 89-year-old neighbor commented, "Good," upon hearing about the plate.
Stritto plans to inform the state about the license plate but is currently considering keeping it and observing public reactions. "I can handle it if I get a few honks here and there. Actually, being over 70, I might like a few honks," she said.
The outlet that reported the story, OutKick, suggested that the unintendedly humorous plate could be seen as a gift and that she should "give it a test drive in public."
