A 24-year-old Florida woman is facing multiple charges, including driving under the influence, after allegedly crashing an SUV into a parked car and then pleading with responding officers not to take her to jail. The incident occurred on August 30 in Daytona Beach.

Police bodycam video released by the Daytona Beach Police Department shows 24-year-old Elizabeth Boucher interacting with officers after her SUV collided with a parked Honda. The impact reportedly moved the vehicle across a front lawn. When questioned by an officer, Boucher initially downplayed the incident, stating, "I guess I hit the front light of those cars, but I don’t know what really happened." The officer corrected her, noting that the vehicle was "completely off" its original position.

During the roadside investigation, Boucher reportedly offered officers a passport instead of her driver's license. She also pleaded with the officers not to take her to jail, saying, "Please don’t take me to jail over this." She referred to the incident as "just a vape" that didn't work. An officer informed Boucher that the situation had escalated from a civil crash investigation to a criminal DUI investigation and read her Miranda rights.

Boucher refused to perform field sobriety exercises and declined to submit to a breath test when formally requested. She expressed confusion and invoked a supposed friendship with the officers, to which one responded, "But we still have a job to do." Boucher stated she was not resisting arrest and expressed concern for her daughter. At one point, an officer instructed her to lean against a vehicle "so you don’t fall."

Following her arrest, Boucher was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, DUI involving damage to property or another person, refusing to submit to DUI testing, battery by touching or striking, resisting an officer without violence, and possessing a controlled substance without a prescription. According to court records, she has pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released from jail on August 31. Her next court appearance is scheduled for October.
