Florida Woman Accused of Shooting Rival Over Cheating Boyfriend
Katherine Kelly faces attempted murder charges after allegedly firing a pink Glock into a car carrying her boyfriend and another woman.

A Florida woman is accused of firing a pink Glock handgun into a vehicle, hitting another woman in the shoulder, after tracking her boyfriend to an alleged rendezvous. Katherine Kelly, 25, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a weapon, and shooting into a vehicle.
According to a police report, Kelly became suspicious of her boyfriend, Elijah Baker, who had taken her car late Friday night. Kelly texted Baker about her suspicions and threatened to shoot someone. She later used a location tracking feature to find Baker, taking an Uber to where he had parked her car in Port St. John.
Upon arrival, Kelly found Baker with another woman, identified as Angel Adenau. Police allege Kelly then shot into the passenger side of the car, striking Adenau. Authorities have not specified the severity of Adenau's injuries.
Initially, Kelly claimed self-defense. However, she later told investigators that she fired the weapon to "make a point" about her boyfriend's infidelity.
Kelly has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Inmate records also list charges for aggravated battery with a weapon and shooting into a vehicle.
