Florida Woman Accused of 'Robbery by Seduction' Stealing Over $135K
Deziree Hood, 21, is facing charges after allegedly targeting men met at a Miami strip club.

A Florida woman has been arrested and accused of stealing more than $135,000 in cash and jewelry from men she met at a Miami strip club, in a scheme police are calling "robbery by seduction." Deziree Hood, 21, was reportedly out on bond for a previous robbery charge when she was arrested again.
According to WPLG, Hood, who is described as an escort in arrest reports, is accused of stealing two gold chains valued at approximately $110,000 from a man she met at the Booby Trap strip club in August. Police state Hood and the man went to his Airbnb, where he placed the chains on a bathroom counter before falling asleep. The items were gone by morning.
Surveillance footage from the Booby Trap, coupled with fingerprints found at the Airbnb, led detectives to identify Hood, who had a prior arrest record. Weeks later, Hood allegedly returned to the Booby Trap and went home with another man. The following day, the victim reported that jewelry, clothing, and cash totaling $25,400 were missing. Detectives again identified Hood from club surveillance footage, and the victim later identified her in a photo lineup.
Hood, originally from Madison, Wisconsin, surrendered to Miami police with her attorney. She faces charges of second-degree grand theft and has been ordered by a judge to stay away from the Booby Trap.
Her booking photo reportedly shows a neck tattoo that reads "IS RARE." Authorities previously arrested Hood on prostitution charges after she allegedly agreed to engage in sex acts for money with an undercover detective. In May, she was arrested for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, including a Rolex watch, from a man at a Miami hotel. Prosecutors also stated that days later, she allegedly stole $60,000 worth of jewelry and clothing from another man in Brickell, Miami. In those instances, detectives also identified her as an escort.
