University of Florida freshman Peyton Blomquist has become a social media sensation after being spotted by ESPN cameras cheering for the Florida Gators during their game against Ole Miss on Saturday. The 18-year-old nutritional science student is now embracing the viral fame.
Blomquist shared a picture of the moment on Instagram with the caption "Work the cut," a reference to the Gators' current rally cry introduced by head coach Jon Sumrall. The phrase encourages players to relentlessly pursue a victory. Her appearance in the stands, which included an outfit adorned with her Zeta Tau Alpha sorority patch, captured significant attention.
The game, held in Gainesville, saw the Florida Gators achieve a decisive 52-28 victory over the then-No. 4 ranked Ole Miss Rebels. Blomquist's social media presence has since surged, with her Instagram following growing to over 37,000 and her TikTok account reaching over 32,000 followers.
Prior to her viral moment, Blomquist was recognized for her academic achievements, having been the salutatorian of her high school in Lake Mary. She is pursuing a pre-med track at the University of Florida and is a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
