Bodycam footage released Friday captured a confrontation between a University of Central Florida student and a campus police officer, which resulted in the student's arrest. The incident, which occurred on February 5, 2025, involved the student, identified as 27-year-old Jarrett Vick, becoming agitated with the officer who had responded to an unrelated call.

In the video, Vick, who has blue-streaked hair, can be heard yelling at the officer. The officer, responding to Vick's raised voice, warned him that he would be placed in handcuffs if he did not calm down. Vick responded with expletives and challenged the officer. At one point, Vick shouted, "She! She! Just say the right pronoun!"

The officer then deployed pepper spray when Vick did not comply with orders to calm down. A university employee intervened in an attempt to deescalate the situation, but Vick continued to yell at the officer, using expletives and demanding the correct pronouns, stating it caused him "a lot of distress."

The incident concluded with Vick being taken into custody. According to the video, another officer tased Vick after he reportedly attempted to kick and swing at officers. Vick was subsequently placed in the back of a police car.

Vick was charged with battery on law enforcement, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct, according to court records from February 5, 2025. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Court records indicate his last appearance was on January 16, with the cases subsequently marked as closed in Orange County.

Records list Vick as male. He reportedly told The Post that he felt he was being "f—ing harassed by the cops" and blamed them for subsequent media attention. Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor the University of Central Florida Police Department immediately responded to requests for comment regarding the incident.
