Florida State Faces Alabama in High-Stakes Rematch
Alabama seeks revenge for last year's upset loss to Florida State in a highly anticipated Week 2 college football showdown.
The Florida State Seminoles are set to face the Alabama Crimson Tide at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on Friday, September 19. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will be broadcast on ABC.
This matchup carries significant weight for Alabama, who are looking to avenge a 31-17 upset loss to Florida State in the opening week of the 2025 season. Despite entering that game as heavy favorites, the Crimson Tide failed to secure a victory. Oddsmakers are again favoring Alabama, with SportsData listing them as 20.5-point favorites following their early-season wins over East Carolina and Kentucky. Alabama quarterback Keelon Russell leads the No. 10-ranked Crimson Tide.
"In our minds, this is the 2026 team," Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer stated in a press conference, referencing the desire for retribution. "I know there’s a lot of guys, including our staff, who know what it felt like walking off that football field."
Florida State, under head coach Mike Norvell, enters the game after routing New Mexico State 34-17 and suffering a narrow 27-24 defeat to No. 16 SMU. In their last contest, transfer quarterback Ashton Daniels completed 12 of 23 passes for 125 yards and one touchdown.
Fans can watch the game on ABC through the live TV streaming service Sling TV. The Sling TV Select plan, which includes ABC, is available for $19.99 per month. An upgrade to the Blue plan costs $45.99 per month and includes additional channels alongside ABC.
