Florida Senator Jokes Trump Overlooked Her 'Asset' After Praising Nicki Minaj

Florida Republican Senator Ashley Moody has joked that President Donald Trump overlooked her "asset" at a recent rally, drawing a parallel to his earlier comments praising rapper Nicki Minaj's physique. Moody made the remarks Friday evening at a Trump rally in Daytona Beach, Florida.

"What do you think about the president talking about Nicki Minaj's asset? Really? I mean, Byron and I don't even know what to say," Moody told the crowd, referring to Congressman Byron Donalds, who was also present. "Byron's probably like, I'm just glad he didn't ask about my asset. I mean, we were the only two on the stage with the president." She added, "Well, maybe I should be upset he didn't talk about my asset."

Moody's comments come after Trump, speaking at a rally in Michigan on Sunday with Minaj in attendance, remarked, "By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before: Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss. Stand up. That's hard to miss."

Minaj stood up and appeared to acknowledge the president's commentary. The remarks have generated discussion online, with some Democratic lawmakers criticizing the president's decorum.

Senator Moody is currently running for re-election. According to prediction market data, she has a high probability of winning her race. Congressman Donalds, who is also facing an election, similarly has a strong chance of victory.

President Trump has been actively participating in rallies for Republican candidates in the lead-up to the midterm elections, frequently visiting Republican strongholds. He has held multiple rallies in Florida in recent weeks, including one in Fort Myers on October 23 and the Daytona Beach event on October 30. Trump is scheduled to hold further rallies and tele-rallies in the days leading up to Election Day.
