Florida Senator Jokes Trump Didn't Praise Her 'Asset' Like Nicki Minaj
Republican Ashley Moody quipped about presidential decorum after Donald Trump complimented rapper Nicki Minaj's physique at a recent rally.
Republican Senator Ashley Moody of Florida playfully questioned why President Donald Trump did not acknowledge her physical attributes in the same way he did rapper Nicki Minaj's.
Speaking at a rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday evening, Moody referenced Trump's recent comments at a rally in Michigan where he praised Minaj's "beautiful a**."
"What do you think about the president talking about Nicki Minaj's asset? Really? I mean, Byron and I don't even know what to say," Moody told the crowd, referring to Congressman Byron Donalds, who was also present. "Well, maybe I should be upset he didn't talk about my asset."
Trump's remarks about Minaj's "a**" at the Michigan rally, where the rapper was in attendance, have drawn criticism from Democratic lawmakers and discussions about presidential decorum.
Trump stated at the Michigan rally, "By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before: Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss. Stand up. That's hard to miss." Minaj acknowledged the comment by standing and waving.
Moody is currently seeking re-election in Florida and is projected to win, according to prediction market data. Donalds, also facing an election, has a strong chance of winning his race.
President Trump has been actively campaigning for Republican candidates in the lead-up to the midterm elections, often appearing at rallies in states considered Republican strongholds. He recently held rallies in Florida and is scheduled to travel to Iowa and Kansas for further campaign events.
