Florida Couple Allegedly Attacked, Pepper-Sprayed by Two Women After Brief Road Dispute

A couple in northwest Miami-Dade, Florida, claims they were attacked and pepper-sprayed by two women following a brief dispute over walking in the road. Felyz Rodriguez and Davin Lopez were reportedly heading to work on Sunday when they momentarily stepped into the street.
According to reports, the occupants of a passing car began yelling at Rodriguez and Lopez to get out of the road. Lopez admitted to making a hand gesture towards the car, which prompted the vehicle to turn around and return to confront them. Rodriguez began recording the encounter on her phone as Lopez approached the car, questioning why they were being bothered.
The situation escalated when two women exited the vehicle and allegedly began the assault. Lopez stated that one of the women pepper-sprayed him, and Rodriguez reported that her hair was pulled. Video footage shared online appears to show a physical struggle between Rodriguez and one of the women, who was wearing green shorts. Rodriguez was subsequently pulled to the ground after becoming caught in the car's open door as it was reversed.
A resident in the vicinity recorded the altercation, with audio capturing the resident calling authorities and describing a car attempting to run over a person.
Investigators are seeking two women in connection with the incident. Rodriguez and Lopez sustained bruises, cuts, and swelling. Rodriguez expressed confusion and trauma, questioning if the attack could be considered a hate crime. Lopez posted on social media, hoping for the apprehension of the women responsible and emphasizing that such unprovoked behavior should have serious consequences.
