A peculiar online feud has emerged between new Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall and ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky, sparked by a comment about pedicures. The exchange began when Sumrall's wife, Ginny, mentioned in an interview that her husband's "favorite extra thing to do" is getting pedicures every other week.

The interview gained significant traction and was featured on ESPN's "Get Up," where Orlovsky voiced his strong disapproval of men receiving pedicures. "I am completely against pedicures for dudes," Orlovsky stated. "You're a dude. You're not supposed to get pedicures. I'd rather have awful feet than get pedicures."

Ironically, Orlovsky himself has been the subject of past online attention regarding his feet. In a 2008 game against the Vikings, the former Lions quarterback was involved in an incident where he ran out of the back of the end zone while still holding the ball, resulting in a safety.

Sumrall responded to Orlovsky's comments by posting a photograph on X, formerly Twitter, of the ESPN analyst appearing to sniff the shoe of his former "First Take" co-host Molly Qerim. This post quickly circulated, with fans joining in to mock Orlovsky. At the time the photo was taken, Qerim appeared visibly displeased by Orlovsky's actions.

This public exchange aligns with a trend of Sumrall's candid personality becoming more visible since his move to a Power Four conference. Earlier in the offseason, during SEC Media Days, Sumrall was heard telling a reporter, "you're lucky I'm not gonna throw this freaking podium right now," when the reporter's phone rang during a press conference. He also used expletives multiple times during the podium session, which were broadcast on television.

Sumrall's assertive style is part of his effort to rebuild the Florida program, which has experienced four losing seasons in the last five years, aiming to return it to national championship contention.
