Florence Pugh's Parents List Childhood Home for £1.65 Million
The Grade II-listed Oxfordshire barn, purchased in 2011 for £950,000, is now on the market as the actress's parents look to downsize.
Florence Pugh's parents, Clinton Pugh and Deborah Mackin, are selling the former family home in Oxfordshire, England, for £1.65 million. The Grade II-listed agricultural barn, located west of Oxford, was purchased by the couple in October 2011 for £950,000.
The property is described as a 17th-century barn conversion with a small holding, set within countryside views. It features five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The Pughs are reportedly looking to downsize from the five-bedroom property.
The barn conversion offers a rural lifestyle with views across the surrounding countryside while remaining accessible to Oxford. The owners highlighted the property's unique position and its ability to attract wildlife, noting their enjoyment of keeping chickens and maintaining a vegetable garden. The barn itself is characterized by double-height ceilings, creating a sense of spaciousness.
An annexe on the property has provided versatile accommodation for family members and guests, maintaining a sense of independence with its own garden and parking. A separate studio, built during the current owners' tenure, has served as studio space but could also be utilized as a home office or additional accommodation, subject to necessary consents.
The listing agent, Knight Frank, put the property on Rightmove on September 24. Florence Pugh, who began her acting career with films like 'The Falling,' 'Lady Macbeth,' 'Little Women,' 'Black Widow,' 'Oppenheimer,' and 'Dune: Part Two,' grew up in Oxford. Her parents have been involved in the restaurant industry in Oxford, with her father, Clinton Pugh, being a vocal critic of the city council's low traffic policies.
Pugh's recent work includes a leading role in the Netflix mini-series 'East of Eden.'
