Florence Pugh's Parents List Childhood Home for $1.65 Million

Florence Pugh's parents, Clinton Pugh and Deborah Mackin, are selling the Oxfordshire barn they purchased in 2011 for £950,000. The property, described as a former agricultural barn and now a Grade II-listed home, has been listed for £1.65 million.

The family is considering downsizing from the five-bedroom residence as Florence and one of her sisters have moved out. The barn, located west of Oxford, offers extensive views of the surrounding countryside and features distinctive beamed and vaulted ceilings.

Florence Pugh, who has achieved A-list status with roles in films such as 'Oppenheimer,' 'Dune: Part Two,' and the Netflix series 'East of Eden,' posted numerous photographs from the home on social media. These images capture family gatherings, her brother Toby Sebastian and his wife in the annexe, and even her acting alongside Maisie Williams in her 2014 film debut, 'The Falling.'

The property includes a versatile annexe, which has provided independent accommodation for family members, and a separate studio space that could be repurposed for various uses. The owners highlighted the property's unique position, offering a country lifestyle while remaining accessible to Oxford's amenities.

Clinton Pugh, who has operated several restaurants in Oxford, has been an outspoken critic of the city council's low-traffic policies. Florence Pugh herself grew up in Oxford, with a brief period in Spain during her childhood to address asthma and tracheomalacia. The family returned to Oxford after three years as her health improved.

The Pughs' barn conversion went on sale on Rightmove through agents Knight Frank on September 24, described as a 'characterful 17th-century barn conversion with a small holding, set within attractive countryside on the edge of Oxford.'
