Fistfight Erupts on 'The Gentlemen' Set, Leaving Star Theo James 'Shocked'
A physical altercation between crew members reportedly occurred while filming the third season of the Netflix series.
A physical altercation broke out on the set of Netflix's "The Gentlemen" while the cast and crew were preparing to film a scene, leaving actor Theo James reportedly "shocked."
The incident occurred at West Wycombe Park House in Buckinghamshire, England, where the third season of the Guy Ritchie-directed series is being filmed. According to a source cited by The Sun, "all hell broke loose" just as the cast was about to shoot a fishing sequence.
"Two of the blokes who work on the production started going at it, and one of them ended up getting whacked in the face," the source told the outlet. "Everyone was just standing there shocked because it all suddenly erupted out of nowhere."
Crew members intervened to separate the individuals involved in the fight. The source described the incident as "barmy" and noted that one of the men appeared to have sustained a cut lip. James, who portrays Eddie Horniman in the series, was described as "totally bemused" by the brawl, with the source adding, "They are used to violent scenes, but it is all acting. No one had expected a bust-up before the cameras started rolling."
Representatives for the show did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
"The Gentlemen" premiered on Netflix in March 2024, with its second season debuting last month. Netflix had confirmed the series' renewal for a third season prior to the second season's release.
