Feud Erupts on "The Block" as One Team Exits Group Chat

The cast of the popular renovation reality show "The Block" is experiencing internal friction, with two contestants indicating that one team has left the show's group chat. This development comes shortly after contestants Chantel and Wyatt were notably absent from Nine's 2027 Upfront event in Sydney.

While teams Adam and Jolene, Lisa and Rosco, Courtney and Sev, and Rick and Tayla attended the event alongside hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft and judge Shaynna Blaze, Chantel and Wyatt were not present. Rosco and Lisa of "The Block" shared insights into the group dynamics, admitting that not all teams are on amicable terms.

"Four out of five houses are talking. Well, four out of five houses are talking in the group chat," Rosco told Pedestrian.TV. His wife, Lisa, added, "Most of the houses are friendly."

Rosco further explained that the unscripted nature of the show can lead to disagreements. "Nothing's scripted. You get backed into a corner, and sometimes the only way out is to fight your way out of that, and that can come across in all different sorts of ways," he said.

In related news, "The Block" is set to undertake its most significant renovation challenge in 2027. Five new teams will tackle a 170-year-old heritage site in Sunbury, Victoria, comprising three historic buildings originally constructed during the gold rush era. The site has previously served as an industrial school, a psychiatric hospital, and most recently, a university campus. The upcoming season will see contestants attempting to preserve the heritage character of these buildings while applying "The Block's" signature high-end makeover. Scott Cam and Shelley Craft are returning to host the renovation project.
