A driver has walked away unharmed after their expensive Ferrari supercar was wrecked in a crash on the M602 motorway. The incident occurred near Eccles in Salford on Sunday following heavy downpours.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) stated that the driver of the custom-built Ferrari 296 lost control of the vehicle in wet conditions. Photos of the aftermath show the car's front end significantly damaged, with its bonnet crumpled and components exposed.

GMP Traffic shared an image of the destroyed sports car on X, formerly Twitter, along with a cautionary message to other road users. The post highlighted the loss of the Ferrari 296 and urged drivers to adjust their speed according to the weather. The force confirmed that there were no injuries reported.

A new Ferrari 296 has a starting price of approximately £259,695, with custom configurations potentially increasing the cost to between £320,000 and £330,000. The area experienced significant rainfall on Sunday, with temperatures dropping to around 13 degrees Celsius.
