Federal Prison Denies Report of Sean 'Diddy' Combs Fighting Drug Lord
The Bureau of Prisons states that a TMZ report alleging an altercation between Combs and Christopher 'Dudus' Coke did not occur.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has denied reports that Sean 'Diddy' Combs was involved in a fight with Jamaican drug lord Christopher 'Dudus' Coke. TMZ had previously reported that Combs sustained a severe head injury in an altercation with Coke on Friday, allegedly stemming from anger over reports of Combs receiving VIP treatment at FCI Fort Dix.
A spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Prisons issued a statement to the Daily Mail, stating, "the story you are referring to is false and did not happen." The Bureau declined to comment further on the conditions of confinement for any individual, citing privacy, safety, and security reasons. Sean Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Fort Dix.
Combs' spokesman, Juda Engelmayer, told the Daily Mail that they appreciate the Bureau of Prisons' clarification and share concerns about the accuracy of the initial reports. He added that they have not independently verified the alleged incident and have no confirmed information that Combs was attacked or sustained injuries.
Coke, who led the Shower Posse gang, was reportedly upset by an NBC News report detailing Combs' alleged lavish lifestyle in prison, which included inmates performing tasks for him, such as cooking, cleaning his cell, and providing massages. According to TMZ, this report led to raids and the confiscation of phones from Coke and other inmates.
Coke was sentenced to 23 years in prison in 2012 after pleading guilty to drug and gun-trafficking charges in the United States. His extradition in 2012 followed a five-week operation that resulted in over 70 civilian deaths during clashes between security forces and the Shower Posse in Kingston, Jamaica.
Combs was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges in July but was found guilty of two lesser charges related to transportation for prostitution. His release date has recently been adjusted, with records indicating a new scheduled release of March 2, 2028, six weeks later than previously stated. This change follows reports that Combs was placed in solitary confinement amid investigations into his alleged preferential treatment in prison.
Combs was previously placed in solitary confinement in July after an altercation with another inmate. The recent NBC News report detailed claims of Combs having access to a cell phone, receiving nude photos, and using a modified tablet, while also allegedly receiving massages and enjoying smuggled liquor.
