FBI Investigates Incendiary Device at Atlanta ICE Building

The FBI is investigating an incident in which an incendiary device was reportedly thrown at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in downtown Atlanta on Tuesday night. The FBI stated that no injuries were reported and there was no significant damage to the building.
FBI personnel and evidence response technicians were on site collecting evidence. Federal authorities assured the public that there was no known threat to safety at this time. Video footage circulating online showed crime scene tape and law enforcement activity outside the building.
The building also houses an immigration court. ICE and Atlanta police have deferred comment to federal authorities regarding the investigation.
