FBI Director Kash Patel, 46, is engaged to his country singer girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins, 27, the couple announced on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday evening.
Wilkins posted a photograph of the pair, showing off her engagement ring, with the caption, “Went and got the law involved.” The couple has been dating since before Patel assumed leadership of the FBI in 2025, with Wilkins attending his swearing-in ceremony.
Wilkins, a country singer and political commentator, released her debut album in 2023. Her website indicates an affiliation with conservative groups, stating she "honors country tradition while adding relevance and current commentary."
Patel reposted Wilkins' announcement. He has previously faced scrutiny for alleged use of government aircraft for non-law enforcement purposes. One instance involved using an FBI jet to travel to State College, Pennsylvania, for a pro wrestling event where Wilkins performed the national anthem. Social media posts from the event showed the couple with a championship belt.
Wilkins also performed at former President Donald Trump's Great American State Fair on the National Mall as part of America 250. This event drew controversy as other artists withdrew after learning it was not a non-partisan celebration.
