A father is mourning the loss of his wife and two-year-old daughter after a lightning strike tragically killed them in Margate, Florida. Kameron Glasgow was feet away when the incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.

According to Glasgow, the family had just arrived at his aunt's house when the weather rapidly deteriorated. He and his wife, Kenya, 31, were attempting to rush their twin daughters, Kennedi and Kensli, inside when the lightning struck. Kameron Glasgow reported feeling an "aftershock from the ground" and turned to see his wife and Kennedi "lifeless."

First responders found Kenya and Kennedi on the street and began CPR, but both succumbed to their injuries shortly after being transported to local hospitals. Kensli, the twin sister, was still inside the vehicle at the time of the strike and survived.

"I just lost my best friend. My daughter just lost her best friend," Kameron Glasgow wrote on social media the day after the incident. He added that while he and his family are hurt, they cherish the "beautiful light" his wife and daughter brought into their lives. Glasgow stated his commitment to staying strong for his surviving daughter, acknowledging the profound grief of losing her twin sister.

Prince Moody, a neighbor, recounted hearing thunder and seeing a flash in the sky. He noted that his son alerted him to a person lying on the ground. Moody went to assist and described seeing a mother and a toddler lying on the ground, describing the scene as "charred."

Kensli was still in the vehicle when lightning struck and killed her twin sister
