A massive search is underway across multiple states for Todd Sabatini, 36, and his 22-month-old son, Theo, who disappeared Saturday afternoon during what was described as a normal walk from their McHenry, Illinois, home. Concerned family members contacted police when the pair did not return within a few hours.

Authorities noted that the outing was unusual for Sabatini, who reportedly did not have provisions for an extended trip with his son. Later, Theo's stroller was discovered behind a local business. Security footage from a supermarket showed Sabatini attempting to contact someone at Zion Lutheran Church, and he also spoke with someone at a Taco Bell. The pair then took a rideshare to the Greenfield Police Department in Wisconsin, approximately an hour's drive away.

Sabatini spoke with an officer at the Greenfield police station before leaving on foot with Theo around 2 p.m. on Saturday. The subject of their conversation with the officer is unclear.

McHenry police later reported having reliable information that placed Todd and Theo in Milwaukee. Law enforcement agencies in Illinois and Wisconsin are collaborating in the ongoing search.

Theo was last seen wearing a blue shirt and dark shorts. Sabatini was wearing a blue-and-black flannel shirt, a gray tank top, jeans, and Converse shoes. His appearance has changed; he is now clean-shaven, despite photos showing him with a beard.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact the McHenry Police Department at 815-363-2130.
