Authorities in Illinois are searching for Todd Sabatini, 36, and his 22-month-old son, Theo, who went missing Saturday afternoon. The pair disappeared after Sabatini took Theo for a walk around their McHenry home at approximately 12 p.m. Their failure to return by 4 p.m. prompted concern from family members, who contacted the McHenry Police Department.
Family members described the prolonged absence as unusual for Sabatini, who reportedly did not have provisions for an extended outing with his son. During their investigation, officers discovered the toddler's abandoned stroller behind a local business.
Further investigation revealed that Sabatini had driven with Theo to Greenfield, Wisconsin, a distance of approximately 65 miles. Authorities have not definitively determined if the pair has returned to Illinois or if they remain in Wisconsin. The search for the father and son is ongoing.
