Father and Teen Twins Found Dead in Florida Home in Apparent Murder-Suicide
Authorities are investigating the deaths of a 63-year-old father and his 17-year-old twins in Orange County, Florida, as a murder-suicide.
A father and his teenage twins were found dead in their Orange County, Florida, home on Wednesday, in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide.
The bodies of Carlo Montiel Infantino and his sister Melanie, both 17, were discovered alongside their father, Ivan Montiel Roa, 63. Deputies responded to the residence after a concerned neighbor reported not seeing the family for about a week.
Upon entering the home, deputies found the twins dead in the living room, both reportedly with multiple stab wounds. Their father was discovered deceased in the master bedroom. Investigators believe Montiel Roa murdered his children before taking his own life.
Montiel Roa's wife, and the mother of the twins, passed away in June. The family was originally from Venezuela.
Social media posts from Montiel Roa included reposts about a "new world order" and a quote from December 2025 referencing a scene from The Dark Knight: "Introduce a little anarchy, alter the established order and everything turns into chaos. I am an agent of chaos."
State Representative Rita Harris, who lives in the area, expressed her devastation as a mother and a human being. "Just any type of tragedy like this, but especially when the victims are so young," she told WESH 2. "There's a lot that can be done... making sure that we kind of wrap our arms around them and that they have what they need to get through what's going to be, I can imagine the most difficult time of their lives."
Frederick Corn, principal of Cypress Creek High School, where Carlo and Melanie were students, stated, "I know I speak for our entire Cypress Creek community when I express the extreme grief we feel with this loss. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with family and friends during this incredibly painful time."
Details regarding the exact time of the deaths or the method of suicide have not yet been released. The Orange County Sheriff's Office has been contacted for further information.
