Farrah Abraham Undergoes Major Jaw Surgery, Faces Weeks of Recovery

Farrah Abraham is recovering from extensive double-disc jaw surgery that has left her unable to speak and restricted to a liquid diet for the next several weeks. The 35-year-old reality television personality underwent the procedure to address ongoing jaw issues.

Abraham's jaw has been wired shut following the surgery, resulting in significant facial swelling that has dramatically altered her appearance. Her manager, Chrissy Johnston, told the Daily Mail that Abraham is experiencing severe pain and is struggling both physically and mentally. Johnston also stated that Abraham has lost hearing in her right ear and expressed hope for her pain to ease and hearing to return to normal.

Abraham appeared on her daughter Sophia's TikTok livestream post-surgery, communicating via a written sign that read, "I had surgery + can’t talk. Thanks for all the gifts." She later shared on Instagram Stories that she "feel[s] like Frankenstein" and is praying her face will recover within three months.

According to reports, Abraham believes her jaw problems are linked to trauma from a sexual assault case. She previously accused former Windsor, Calif., Mayor Dominic Foppoli of drugging and sexually assaulting her in March 2021, an allegation Foppoli denied. Johnston indicated that Abraham's team believes the trauma and stress from the assault may have affected her nervous system and contributed to the jaw damage.

Abraham has a history of undergoing various cosmetic procedures, including multiple breast augmentations, rhinoplasty, a chin implant, butt injections, lip and facial fillers, and a vaginal rejuvenation procedure.
