Reality television personality Farrah Abraham commented on the recent civil judgment against Dominic Foppoli, a Democrat and former mayor of Windsor, who was ordered to pay $13 million to seven women he was found liable of sexually assaulting. Abraham, who is among 14 women who have publicly accused Foppoli of sexual abuse, stated her relief upon hearing the news.

"My first reaction was, thank God there was some justice," Abraham told CBS. "My heart goes out to them. I hope this gives him peace."

Abraham voiced disappointment that Foppoli's alleged actions have resulted in civil litigation rather than criminal charges. "That is very concerning that we are not having criminal justice. We are having civil justice right now," she said.

Abraham is preparing to pursue her own civil case against Foppoli. She is not one of the seven women involved in the recent trial. Her case is scheduled for a civil trial in February 2027.

A jury in Sonoma County found Foppoli, 44, liable for sexually assaulting the women after a seven-week civil trial. The jury awarded the plaintiffs $13 million in compensatory damages, with potential punitive damages yet to be determined. The allegations span from 2001 to 2020, coming to public light in 2021.

Plaintiffs' lawyer Traci Carrillo stated that the verdict provided "a level of much needed justice where a predator and the entity that protected and enabled him were found liable by a unanimous jury." Carrillo added that accountability was more important to her clients than the monetary award.

The jury also found the Santa Rosa chapter of the Active 20-30, a social club Foppoli was a member of, liable for one woman's assault, awarding her an additional $2 million. The accuser claimed she had warned the club about Foppoli's behavior, but it failed to investigate.

Foppoli has maintained his innocence, with his lawyer Andrew Watters telling the Daily Mail that Foppoli is seeking a mistrial, citing excluded witness testimony, and plans to appeal if that effort fails. Foppoli is not facing criminal charges. The jury found 'clear and convincing' evidence that Foppoli acted with 'oppression, fraud, and malice' against the women.

Abraham, 35, is currently running for Austin City Council in Texas, with elections scheduled for November.
