Farmer Zac Kuiper and Maya Bini Announce Split After 'Farmer Wants a Wife' Finale
The couple, who found love on the 2026 season of the Australian reality show, cited long-distance challenges and timing issues for their separation.
Farmer Zac Kuiper and his final match, Maya Bini, have announced the end of their relationship, just months after declaring their love for each other on the 2026 season of "Farmer Wants a Wife." The couple shared a joint statement on Instagram detailing their decision to go their separate ways.
"From the beginning, our connection was strong. We then became each other's best friends, which led us into an amazing relationship," the statement read. "Navigating our relationship while being long-distance proved to be no easy journey. The timing for us to make that next move wasn't right, and unfortunately, this shifted the relationship. We have therefore decided to go our separate ways."
The South Australian apple farmer, 24, and the 22-year-old medical receptionist expressed gratitude for their experience on the show. "We are so incredibly grateful to Farmer Wants a Wife for bringing us together. We will both cherish the memories and experiences we shared forever. We still have an immense amount of love and respect for each other, and definitely zero bad blood."
Kuiper added in the comments, "Forever grateful for all the laughs and smiles. What an incredible experience."
Kuiper and Bini were the last remaining couple from the 2026 season. During their finale episode, Kuiper expressed that he was falling for Bini and envisioned a future together. Their announcement comes after they appeared to be going strong at the Logies awards ceremony the previous month, where Bini commented on the difficulties other couples from their season faced.
"It's obviously upsetting to hear that all the other farmers and their chosen ladies have ended," Bini told TV Week. "But I guess it is such an intense environment, so we're just very happy that we ended up being together and finding each other through this experience."
Kuiper had previously sent home another contestant, Miranda Chopping, partway through the season. Chopping has since announced her engagement to Joshua Brown in August.
The "Farmer Wants a Wife" series has a history of successful matches, with multiple marriages and children resulting from previous seasons. However, the 2026 contestants have struggled to find lasting romantic success.
