Eddy Fry, a participant on "Farmer Wants a Wife," has reportedly found a new romantic interest, Matthis, a Frenchman, while her season with Alex Thompson-Welch is still being broadcast. Fry and Matthis were observed on a coffee date in Brisbane on June 28, appearing affectionate as they walked a dog.

Fry, a 30-year-old lawyer, and Matthis were introduced by mutual friends at the beginning of the year and have been publicly active on each other's social media since January. A source described them as "inseparable" since meeting over seven months ago.

During the broadcast episode, Fry and Thompson-Welch, a 28-year-old cattle and mushroom farmer from Queensland, appeared to conclude their journey together, walking off into the sunset. Thompson-Welch expressed strong feelings for Fry, stating he had "fallen in love with you Eddy, fully." Fry indicated she was "falling in love" but was more reserved due to past relationship experiences.

Their on-screen relationship faced challenges, including discussions about Fry's dedication to Catholicism and its potential impact on their future, as Thompson-Welch is agnostic and expressed reservations about raising children in a religious environment. Despite these differences, the couple decided to leave the show together to pursue a life together.
