Far-Left Podcaster Jennifer Welch Draws Fire for Remarks on VP JD Vance

Podcaster Jennifer Welch has drawn sharp criticism for her remarks regarding Vice President JD Vance, during which she urged listeners to "keep pistols firing" toward him and declared him unfit for office. The comments, made on the "I've Had It" podcast, have sparked backlash on social media.

Welch criticized Vance's political evolution, suggesting he has distanced himself from his family to align with the MAGA movement, a shift she attributed to the influence of billionaire donor Peter Thiel. "He came out a complete antichrist-style sociopath," Welch stated on the podcast, referencing Thiel's public discourse.

She further asserted that Vance, who is positioning himself for a potential 2028 presidential run, is "not fit to be a father. He's not fit to be a husband. He's not fit to be a vice president." Welch also described him as a "failed drag queen and a pathological liar to his core."

The segment was widely shared, leading to condemnation from various commentators. Elizabeth Pipko, host of "Made in America with Elizabeth Pipko" and a former Republican National Committee national spokesperson, told Fox News Digital that Welch's use of violent rhetoric raises concerns. "The use of the word ‘pistols,’ and the suggestion that people need to keep firing them at Vice President JD Vance, is not just horrific and dangerous, it’s the kind of rhetoric that raises serious questions about whether a threat has been made and whether authorities may need to investigate," Pipko said.

Pipko added that the context of Welch's statement suggested intent, stating, "Here, the rest of the statement strongly suggests otherwise." She criticized Welch for her "arrogance or cruelty to tell someone who they don’t know personally that they’re unfit to be a husband or a father."

This incident follows past controversies involving Welch. In 2025, she faced scrutiny for her reaction to the death of Charlie Kirk, co-founder of Turning Point USA, when she appeared to celebrate the event on her podcast and urged the Democratic establishment to embrace similar sentiments.

The White House, Vance's team, and Peter Thiel did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
