The New York Yankees are currently in a close race for the AL East title. The team is scheduled to close its series against the Atlanta Braves on Sunday afternoon in the Bronx. The Yankees plan to start pitcher Cam Schlittler for this game.
In his previous outing, Schlittler pitched three innings, his shortest appearance of the season, allowing four earned runs and five walks. Despite this performance, the Yankees' pitching staff expects Schlittler to bounce back against the Braves lineup.
