An individual who allegedly traveled over 1,000 miles with the intent of marrying OnlyFans star Sophie Rain attempted to grab the 21-year-old influencer during an event in Miami earlier this spring, according to a close friend and marketing head for Rain.
The incident occurred in May at the Mondrian South Beach hotel when the man approached Rain in the lobby. He claimed to have made the journey from New York specifically to marry her. Connor McCrory, Rain's friend, stated that the man's intentions were not merely to meet her or ask for a photograph, but to announce his plan to marry her.
"It was especially alarming because this was not somebody who simply recognized Sophie and asked for a photograph. He claimed he had crossed several states because he intended to marry her," McCrory told The Post. The situation escalated when the man attempted to physically grab Rain.
Rain's team prioritized her safety and managed to move her away from the individual. Although the team did not involve the police, they reported the incident to the hotel to ensure staff were aware of the man's presence. "We wanted staff to be aware of the situation in case he remained on or returned to the property," McCrory added.
This is not the first security concern for Rain, who is a prominent figure on OnlyFans, reportedly earning around $45 million annually and known for maintaining her virginity and limiting her content to suggestive but not explicit material. Last year, an accused stalker named Connor Litka reportedly broke into the house she was renting. Court documents obtained by TMZ indicate that Litka, who had gone missing from a crisis center in Indiana, had expressed a desire to return to Florida to be with Rain, whom he referred to as his girlfriend and claimed they had made a "blood oath."
As of Friday, there had been no update on Litka's whereabouts. In response to these ongoing concerns, Rain's team has significantly increased her security, hiring off-duty police officers to accompany her. "It’s starting to cost close to $50,000 a month just for security because of stalking incidents," McCrory stated.
Rain, who has a substantial following on TikTok with over 15.4 million followers, is among the top earners on the OnlyFans platform. She owns a 20-acre farm in Central Florida.
