Family of NYC Designer Launched Tip Line for Unsolved Montauk Yacht Death
A year after Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra's mysterious death, her family seeks information and pursues a $50 million wrongful death lawsuit.
The family of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra, a New York City fashion entrepreneur who died under mysterious circumstances at a Montauk yacht club, has launched an online tip line to solicit information about the case, which remains open one year after her death. The family is also seeking $50 million in a wrongful death lawsuit against Christopher Durnan, the last person known to have seen her alive.
Launched on MarthaTipline.com, the tip line is managed by the legal team of attorney Michael Bowe of Brithem LLP. The website states, "The family of Martha Nolan-O’Slatarra and their legal team are seeking information that may help their investigation into her death in Montauk." The legal team is encouraging anyone with details, no matter how insignificant they may seem, to come forward.
Nolan-O’Slatarra, 33, died on August 5, 2025, aboard Durnan's boat, named "Ripple," while it was docked at the Montauk Yacht Club. According to a patient care report referenced in the family's lawsuit, an individual on the scene called authorities and reported being in bed with Nolan-O'Slatarra and being unable to wake her.
Witnesses reportedly saw Durnan, naked, running down the yacht club's dock and shouting for help. The family's lawsuit claims Durnan caused Nolan-O'Slatarra's death.
The tip line website specifically asks for information from anyone who was present at or near the yacht club on the day of Nolan-O’Slatarra's death or the day prior, and anyone who interacted with either Nolan-O’Slatarra or Durnan in the lead-up to the incident.
