The family of Brittany Boltinhouse, the former Miss North Carolina USA who was recently dethroned, has spoken out against the pageant organization, alleging that organizers are focused on "saving face." A relative told the Daily Mail that it is important to present Boltinhouse's "truth" rather than allowing the organization to control the narrative.
Boltinhouse, 27, was stripped of her title after A-Blaize Productions, the entity overseeing the Miss North Carolina USA pageant, conducted a review of recently surfaced information. Reports indicate that the resurfaced social media posts, allegedly made between 2017 and 2019 under the username Sosa the Stallion, include multiple uses of the N-word and self-references as "toxic."
Boltinhouse has not yet publicly addressed the allegations. Her removal from the position has reportedly caused "a lot of pain" among other contestants. Following her disqualification, the title of Miss North Carolina USA was immediately passed to the first runner-up, Myla Hadley.
The family member stated that while they have much they would like to say, they are currently taking time for prayer and unity before responding further.
