The family of Reece Salmon, 28, has expressed profound grief following his death after being stabbed in Clerkenwell, London. Salmon was attacked on Lloyd Baker Street shortly before 11:20 p.m. on Wednesday and later died in the hospital on Thursday.

"We are utterly devastated by this loss," his family said in a statement. "Reece was a loving partner and son, and he leaves behind many friends and loved ones. It is impossible to put our loss into words."

Police have not yet made any arrests and are actively searching for the person responsible for the stabbing. Floral tributes have been placed at the scene by Salmon's family and friends.

Lloyd Baker Street is described as a residential area where homes have recently sold for up to £2.25 million. In response to the incident and heightened security concerns, authorities have implemented enhanced stop-and-search powers across several London areas, including Caledonian Road, Clerkenwell, and Hoxton, from Friday afternoon to Saturday morning.

Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart acknowledged the tragedy, stating, "This is a tragic incident, and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the young man who has lost his life." He assured the public of increased police presence for reassurance and safety.

Stewart urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing that witnesses may possess crucial details for the investigation. Forensic officers were observed working at the scene on Lloyd Baker Street on September 18.
