The new survival thriller, "Fall 2: Deadpoint," opens in movie theaters on Wednesday, September 2. This sequel to the 2022 film "Fall" follows two friends who find themselves stranded at a perilous height.

"Fall 2: Deadpoint" features a new cast, including Harriet Slater as Jax Hunter, the older sister of a character who died in the first film. Jax is persuaded to participate in a tribute that involves a dangerous climb up Mount Kwan in Thailand, alongside her sister's friend Luce, portrayed by Arsema Thomas. A rockslide traps them at 3,000 feet.

The film also stars Tom Brittney and Grace Caroline Currey, who reprises her role from the first movie. "Fall 2: Deadpoint" was written by Scott Mann, who directed the original, and Jonathan Frank. The sequel is directed by Peter and Michael Spierig.

Initially, "Fall 2: Deadpoint" will be exclusively available in theaters. Showtimes can be found via Fandango. The movie is not currently available to stream or watch online.

Lionsgate, the distributor of "Fall 2: Deadpoint," has an output deal with Amazon Prime Video and Starz, not Netflix. Therefore, it is unlikely to be available on Netflix in the near future.

Viewers can expect to purchase or rent "Fall 2: Deadpoint" on Amazon Prime Video once it becomes available for digital download. Additionally, the film is slated to stream on Prime Video for free during its "Pay 1" window, approximately four months after its theatrical run, which would be around early January 2027.

Amazon Prime, which includes Prime Video, costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year, with a 30-day free trial available. A discounted Prime for Young Adults membership is also offered for individuals aged 18-24.

There is also a possibility that "Fall 2: Deadpoint" could appear on Starz, as Lionsgate has an extended output deal with the platform. If the release pattern follows that of other Lionsgate films, it might be available on Starz around early January 2027. Starz typically costs $11.99 per month, but can currently be subscribed to via Amazon Prime Video for a promotional rate of $0.99 per month for the first two months.

However, recent release patterns for Lionsgate films have varied. For instance, "Greenland 2: Migration," another Lionsgate release from 2026, began streaming on HBO Max four months after its theatrical debut, rather than on Starz or Prime Video. This indicates that Lionsgate's release strategy for 2026 films may not follow a uniform schedule, making direct-to-streaming availability uncertain beyond the initial theatrical run.
