Exes of T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach Announce Engagement
Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, former spouses of the ex-GMA hosts, are engaged weeks after Holmes and Robach's wedding.
Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, the former spouses of ex-Good Morning America anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach, have announced their engagement. This news follows the recent wedding of Holmes and Robach, which took place on September 19.
Shue, 59, and Fiebig, 48, began dating in 2023 and became engaged this past spring, according to People. Their relationship reportedly developed as they bonded over the public dissolution of their respective marriages.
Holmes, 49, and Robach, 53, had their relationship exposed in November 2022, leading to their suspension from GMA. They subsequently divorced Fiebig and Shue.
Shue told People that he did not anticipate finding love again, stating, "I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending." He described their connection as a way to "get to know each other and be able to share ourselves with each other in a time where we both needed a friend." Shue reflected on his previous marriage, acknowledging his role in its failure and the personal growth that followed. "I had to grow through a lot of pain and a lot of struggle and a lot of humility,” he said. “I think the magic of love is when you go from a need to giving."
Fiebig reportedly finalized her divorce from Holmes in October 2023, while Shue finalized his divorce from Robach in March. Holmes has two children from a previous marriage and one child with Fiebig. Shue and Robach did not have children together, but Shue's three sons and Robach's two daughters were part of their blended family when they married in 2010.
